Sneha Shrestha

Sneha Shrestha, known as IMAGINE, is a Nepali-born, Boston-based contemporary artist who fuses the Nepali alphabet and Sanskrit-inspired script with American graffiti. Her painting Home416 made her the first contemporary Nepali artist in the permanent collection of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. She has also created a thirty-foot sculpture commissioned by the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. An educator and social entrepreneur, Sneha founded the Children's Art Museum of Nepal, the country's first, and serves as Arts Program Manager at Harvard's Mittal South Asia Institute. Rooted in cultural pride, her work carries a simple, hopeful mantra: you can imagine, too.
